Dipu Moni: We Must Consider Women’s Experience for a Complete Solution

For equal cooperation of men and women for the benefit of social progress

Dipu Moni, Chairperson of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Bangladesh National Parliament, came to the Second Eurasian Women’s Forum to discuss women’s interests in the spheres of economic empowerment, gender equality, social progress, healthcare, and climate change. The latter is especially important for Dipu’s country.

She mentioned that Bangladesh has accomplished much in gender equality issue but international cooperation is still needed. The main purpose of her visiting EWF is sharing her thoughts and hearing other opinions.

“Women should have more opportunities in any sphere. We need international cooperation for that”.

Dipu Moni thinks that we can’t reach the targets of sustainable development without women taking senior positions.

The forum is an opportunity for women from all over the world to express their ideas and exchange experience of different cultures. By that, the participants come to mutual understanding and develop cooperation.

According to Dipu Moni, that is what makes EWF so important. She also told journalists of the Eurasian Women’s Community about her views on the role of women in ensuring global security and sustainable development.

Our solutions cannot be complete without women’s experience that differs from men’s one.

That is why participation of men and women in any sphere must be equal.
