Sarah remembered her first steps in the field of standing up for women’s rights, compared Eurasian Women’s Forum to one in Ufa and told about her project STEM. It is aimed at exposure girls to the math.
Sarah Harder admires Russian women’s abilities in sciences and told that math and technologies are directly connected with developing of women’s movement.

Favorable Environment for Charity Projects
Regina Shtyagina, specialist in communication with society of charity fund Marhmat, summed up a roundtable discussion. “We exchanged positive experience in realization of charity projects in spheres of fashion, sport and cookery and came to a conclusion that we should involve as many participants as possible in this sphere of activity, in this process. Puzzle of Good
During the international forum Women’s Dialogue. Infinity Charity in Ufa charity fund Marhmat held a campaign Common Childhood. Participants and guests of the forum put a puzzle of good together. As a result there was a big picture – child’s painting that won in one of competitions. It depicts a forum’s symbol – a colourful horse. To Create Good is a Norm
“Charity in Russia today is an act of onetime help. We are aimed at creating a world where to create good is a norm” – said Salima Manuilova, director of charity fund Our Children, expert of strategic net Charity as System Mechanism.
According to the moderator of one of the roundtables of the forum charity organizations in Russia don’t have a common target. That’s why work of funds is not cooperated. Salima Manuikova suggested taking mercy, creation of a world around one’s self as ground activity. System must be closed for every member of a community could bring good and thank for it. “We see that importance of socially oriented NCOs is appreciated and we move to the constructive work” – mentioned Olga Kabanova, vice-minister of labour and social defense of population of republic Bashkortostan. On a roundtable Models of Partnership of Government and Socially Oriented NCOs: Grants, Providing Social and Valuable to the Community Services and Charity its participants came to a conclusion that regional organizations don’t have enough power now to realise system long-term projects. “And we have a big goal to prepare NCO to inclusion into the roster of non-commercial organizations-providers of valuable to the community services.” – concluded Olga Kabanova. In 2012 Russia Took 8th Place for Voluntary Work
“We need to be careful and not to adopt a law that nobody would obey” – commented signing of forum’s resolution Elena Alshanskaya, president of charity fund Volunteers for Helping Children Orphans.
A possibility of providing special privileges for volunteers during college entrances was discussed on the forum. But specialists are concerned if this idea would destroy the system of fair selection of applicants.
“Charity is a ground for civil community.” - thinks Elena. And Russia makes great steps in this direction. According to international researches, Russia took the 8th place out of 146 in voluntary help in 2012. But we shouldn’t stop there. Country needs state centres that will motivate people to make charity. Every person should understand that it is prestigious. This a deed for which you will be respected. On the final plenary meeting of international forum Women’s Dialogue. Infinity Charity Konstantin Tolkachev, chairman of the State Assembly of the Republic of Bashkortostan was speaking. He mentioned that energetic participation of women in the sphere of charity will undoubtedly be useful for the whole world.
“It is good that during the roundtable discussions and workshops there were objective suggestions of solving different problems which were counted while signing the resolution. The forum proved again that charity in our country takes an important place and more and more people consider this sphere to be inherent part of their lives. I’m sure, it is only the beginning and we will have effective partnership in future and forums of such kind will be organized regularly,” – summed up his speech Konstantin. Final Plenary Meeting of the Forum Begins

Forum Comes to an End
Two days passed very quickly. There were objective suggestions about legislative initiatives and the most effective work organization. Participants met each other and exchanged experience. Now Galina Karelova says her conclusion and then the forum’s resolution will be discussed.
The Issue of Local Philanthropy Being Discussed During The Community Funds in Russia Workshop
Larisa Avrorina, programme manager of CAF Russia programme that crises can’t stop the development of one’s own philanthropy project. The participants are sharing their experience. Some were putting off their pensions so as to actualise a good deed and struggled to negotiate with entrepreneurs while others were using the plastic bottles for raising contributions and organising series of rag fairs.
The main conclusion participants came to is that it is essential to develop individual philanthropy and to overlook no opportunity to achieve their goals.

The society-oriented business training is held as a part of one of the Forum’s workshops. Regina Shtyagina, one of the founders of charity clothing brand QOSH tells about the best ways to work for charity. The company conducted a children’s drawing contest, chose six best drawings and printed them on its sweatshirts. Organisers bought wheelchairs for physically disadvantaged tennis-players for funds received from selling those sweatshirts. Senior editor of Elle Russia Elena Sotnikova became interested in the campaign, created her own collection of clothes and even drew Varya the Bird for prints herself. Risks Can Be Managed
The round table called NGO Risk Management is held on one of the discussion platforms of the forum with many representatives of philanthropy funds participating. Each speaker told about possible risks which can obstruct NGO’s proper development and functioning. The Forum still continues but it is already clear that it succeeded. Not only the participants, but also wonderful volunteers are elated with it. Daria Yutkina, a schoolgirl from the Russian city of Ufa told her friends about her talk with the participant from Germany Karin Van Mourik, who had even told them her love story. Daria is an experienced volunteer who likes to speak with foreign guests. She told us that “it is great that such famous and high-status people speak with us on equal grounds”. Exercising with Champions
In Ufa’s school №59 multiple Olympic champion Tatyana Lebedeva and multiple Paralympic champion Oksana Savchenko shared their recipes for success with schoolchildren during the Forum. Tatyana is a Russian track-and-field athlete and senator from Vologodskaya region; Oksana is a Russian swimmer and a member of State Assembly Quriltai of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
After the intense five-minute training some older schoolchildren asked their questions to sportswomen. Conference’s atmosphere was friendly and informal. The champions said that “the sky is the limit” and wished the children to strive for victory.17.11.2016 17:11 (MSK)
Forum’s Back Shift
The intensive first day of the Forum has come to its end but the work will not stop. The meetings and round tables will continue operating tomorrow, and now the participants came to Bashkir national theatre of opera and ballet. They will see the philanthropic festival called “Simple Childhood” featuring physically-disabled children who perform sketches, dance, sing and even cohost the evening. The Smiles Are Back
Russian and international surgeons operated 50 children from Ufa with congenital maxillofacial defects. The campaign called Operation Smile is held during the forum "Women's Dialogue. Infinity Charity" which opened today in the capital of Bashkortostan. Rustem Ahmetshin, the head doctor of Republican children’s clinical hospital of Bashkir Department of Health said that the youngest patient is 6 months old and the oldest – 19 y.o.
The surgeons participating in the campaign are from Russia, the USA, Vietnam and Estonia. Fortunately, no sanctions can forbid that. Such campaigns do not only help children but also contribute to scientific development. Working in the international team helps doctors advance in skill and share the experience. It is important to say that there are no queues for those needing such operations because the practice is stamped out on the assembly line. In the campaign the surgeons had to deal with the hardest medical cases and they succeeded in them perfectly. Children are now able to smile.
Today the forum participants visited the children. Among them were vice-chairman of the Federation Council Galina Karelova, senior vice-president of the Federation Council committee on science, education and culture Liliya Gumerova and chairman of the Council of Fundraising Education Fund Marhamat Gulshat Hamitova. The sponsors gave one million rubles to the hospital to develop the medical projects.

The Snowball of Kindness

The Movement Towards Promising Future Continues
The forum "Women's Dialogue. Infinity Charity" is now held in Ufa. Vice-chairman of the Federation Council Galina Karelova answered our questions and said that the work which unites women from all over the world to resolve the contemporary issues continues. The movement towards promising future started positively in 2015 in St. Petersburg, came to Ufa and in the end of November will reach Moscow.

Exchange of Experience and Efficient Dialogue
In the framework of the international forum Women's Dialogue. Infinity Charity taking place on 17-18 November 2016 in Ufa there are multiple round tables being held on six different topics.
Participants of the forum share experience and discuss problems of education, philanthropy, humanitarian cooperation, volunteering, culture and models of partnership between government and socially-oriented non-profit organizations.

International Dialogue and the Birth of the Truth
Karin van Mourik, a member of the board of the Association of German Women Entrepreneurs and a Commissioner for Affairs with Russia shared her opinion at the plenary session of the international forum Women's Dialogue. Infinity Charity. She was talking about Tsvetayeva’s project created by a woman and devoted to a woman. According to Karin van Mourik, such projects help the world to live, because we all need kindness, friendship and culture.
“Today I’ve got ideas, but my ideas need support and feedback from everyone who thinks the same way. My eyes, ears and heart are open for dialogue, because dialogue contributes to the birth of the truth,” she said.

“Charity is noble work, it is loyalty to lofty principles,” said Li Xiaoxing, a chief of European Division of All-China Women's Federation International Department.
As she thinks, life in the epoch of globalization is multifaceted. On the one hand, there are new opportunities appearing every day. On the other hand, such state of things causes many new problems. Gender inequality in rights is one of them. Within 60 years All-China Women's Federation International Department promotes women’s empowerment.
By using resources from public funds and business China managed to insure women against domestic violence, to provide them with start-up budgets for entrepreneurship development and to conduct free medical check-ups in order to prevent cancer.
2016 is the first year of a 15-year programme. This programme is aimed at combating women's poverty, maternal and child health, providing good education for women and achieving gender equality.
“We accepted huge responsibility. Our mission is of great importance. This mission is world with equal opportunities for each country, for each person. This is our common desire. Chinese women are ready to cooperate with women from all over the globe to build a better world,” commented Li Xiaoxing.

Doctors From All Over The World Help Children
“It is gratifying to know that modern women are self-motivated, brave, devoted, socially fair and responsible for future of their country. The role of women in all spheres is enormous. Most workers in spheres of education, healthcare, culture and mass media are women,” said Banzragch Delgermaa, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia in the Russian Federation, at the plenary session of the international forum Women's Dialogue. She also reported that after hearing speeches of the forum’s participants she had an idea to invite to Russia 18 doctors from abroad in order to help children. Operation Smile is a charity event organized in the framework of the forum in Ufa, aimed at helping children with cleft lip and palate. “We are not a charity organization but we always strive to help those who are in difficult circumstances,” said Vanda Gagiano, President of the Free State Women’s Agricultural Union in the Republic of South Africa, at the plenary session of the international forum Women's Dialogue. 78% of Americans Are Involved in Charity
“Charity everybody’s business who wants to change society for the better,” said Sarah Harder, the president of the National Peace Foundation, emeritus professor at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, at the plenary session of the international forum Women's Dialogue. Infinity Charity.
According to her, 78% of Americans are involved in charity. Their philanthropy aspiration dates back to 1881 when American women began to actively get an education. Thus Americans got tools which helped them to change the world for the better. Then they acquainted more and more people with what they did and as a result charity became common practice.
In the most recent year when all of the amounts from these charitable contributions were totaled (from their many sources), 84% of that total came from small individual donations volunteered by ordinary U.S. сitizens. Annual giving to US charities is truly an American tradition for which everyone feels a responsibility.
Today large charity organizations need to use modern technologies and to teach children and the young to make use of them. Only thus further development of charity is possible.

The sportswoman told that once she was rewarded by Valentina Matvienko in the Kremlin. Rima came with her little daughter and Valentina presented her a huge hare. Since that the hare became a symbol of goodness, charity and feminity in Rima’s family.
The sportswoman also told how she began to work for charitable causes. One day a girl asked Rima to give her Rima’s old hobnailed boots. Rima gave it to her and helped her very much. Since that time Rima has given lots of children a lift and inspired others to do charity.

Charity Erases Barriers
One of the biggest international events dedicated to charity is going to be started today in Ufa. More than 700 guests from 10 countries (CIS, USA, Estonia, Germany, the Great Britain, RSA, etc.) and also inhabitants from 55 regions of Russia participated the forum Women’s Dialogue. Infinity Charity. Manager of the social organisations, senators, deputies of State Duma will share their experience and work out effective ways for solving current problems in the sphere of charity.
“In terms of volume of the participants, this forum is going to be the biggest event in Russia of all events dedicated to charity. It is the first time when ways of charity development and international cooperation are discussed by so many representatives” - noticed Galina Karelova, Deputy Chairperson of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation.
Charitable action Operation ‘Smile’ that helps children with cleft lip and palate will be held as part of the forum. Physicians from different countries have already operated on more than 20 young patients. The festival Normal Childhood will also take place at the forum, today in the evening. Special needs children and known for charitable activities talented Russian singer, member of Public Chamber, Diana Gurtskaya will perform on the festival.
Organizers of the forum are Federation Council of Russia, government of the Republic of Bashkortostan and Markhamat charity fund. The forum will be on the 17th and 18th of November.
