MOROCCAN WOMEN: POLITICIANS AND PILOTS
The Forum of Women Parliamentarians was held in St. Petersburg as part of the 137th IPU Assembly. The EWC journalists interviewed Rahhou El Hilaa, a delegate from Morocco, Member of the House of Representatives of the Moroccan Parliament. He willingly shared with them information about the women’s role in his country.
According to him, Morocco makes significant steps in improving the situation of women. The number of Moroccan women engaged in national economy constantly increases. Women also take part in politics and actively contribute to rural development. Some of them even become aircraft pilots. Unfortunately, Morocco now has problems related to education.
