Novokuznetsk Is Ready For the International Forum
Role of Women in Developing Industrial Regions
The 'Role of Women in Developing Industrial Regions' forum will take place in Novokuznetsk on March 1-2. The Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, the Government of Kemerovo Oblast, and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation are its organisers. Galina Karelova, Deputy Chairperson of the Federation Council, told more about the forthcoming event. According to her, the Forum plays an important role in the region’s development. Besides, it is extremely significant for Russia.
The event in Novokuznetsk is organised to serve the continuation of the Second Eurasian Women’s Forum and to develop the Forum’s agenda and key resolutions.
Representatives from 15 countries and women leaders from 39 regions of Russia will take part in the forthcoming forum.
Besides, the Forum will gather such major international organisations as World Women Inventors & Entrepreneurs Organisation (WWIEA), International Association of Women, and UNIDO, which has already been actualising a number of projects with Russia. Galina Karelova expressed her confidence that the Forum will bring a variety of new initiatives.
The participants will discuss the issues of women’s personnel development in industrial sphere, the opportunities within the fourth industrial revolution, and will exchange practices of developing creative industries.
Particular attention will be paid to Russia’s new initiatives proposed to other BRICS countries.
The Forum will also present the best international and regional practices of women’s participation in industrial entrepreneurship. The event will hold the extended meeting of the Council of Women under the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia.
Galina Karelova stresses that it is important to come to practical decisions at the forum.
Representatives of various ministers and departments including Deputies of Ministers of Labour and Social Protection, Healthcare, and Education will take part in the event.
The event’s organisers emphasise the transparency of the coming forum.
The Forum will be broadcasted on 1222 platforms on request of citizens of Kuzbas.
More than 85 thousand women at enterprises and organisations will be able to remotely participate in the forum’s work and formulate their suggestions for the outcome resolution that will be signed on March 2.
“The forum in Kemerovo Oblast will contribute to development of various forms of women’s participation in economy and their entrepreneurial activity in industry. It will promote effective forms of international cooperation”, thinks Galina Karelova.
